FAMILY HISTORY RESOURCE CENTRe

(inside the Legacy Centre)

Come to the FHRC to locate your roots - we have over 400 family trees!  Search for church records or a local headstone in our database. Start in the FHRC for your search of all things Cupids: see old maps, and search through our vast files and collection of articles, books, and magazines with information about Cupids. Open when the Legacy Centre is open (off season by appointment). Research services are by donation.

You will see our giant Union Jack (23' x 46') flying on special occasions, or the Canadian Flag - come, help us raise these flags, especially on Canada Day and Soiree Saturday!

Stop by for a stroll, a sit, quiet reflection,or pull a few weeds (we have lots to share) while you are here - all within the sounds of two babbling brooks! Lovely setting for wedding and reunion photos. We have a pretty gazebo and humpty-back bridge over to the Community Gardens where you get a plot andcan grow your own vegetables, fruit, or flowers!

Community Recycling Program

At the western end of the Town Hall/Community Centre, we have a large blue bin where you can drop off your refundable beverage containers. The Society collects these and brings them to an area collection point. All funds come back to Cupids, in particular to support Millbrook Garden.

Visit the gravestonemonument erected by the Society on the site of the original mass grave, it honours all victims of this 1875 disaster at sea. Read more about the Water Witch inside the Legacy Centre.
